What does a long term disability analyst do?

A Long Term Disability Analyst reviews, evaluates, and manages claims for long term disability benefits. They assess medical documentation, employment records, and policy details to determine eligibility and the extent of benefits for individuals unable to work due to illness or injury. To thrive as a Long Term Disability Analyst, you need a solid understanding of insurance policies, disability claims processes, and a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business or healthcare. Familiarity with claims management systems, regulatory compliance software, and sometimes certifications like Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) are typically expected.
