What is long term care insurance?

Long term care insurance is a type of insurance policy that helps cover the costs of care services needed when someone is unable to perform basic activities of daily living due to chronic illness, disability, or aging. It typically pays for services such as nursing home care, assisted living, home health care, and personal or adult day care. This insurance can help protect your savings and provide more choices for care if you need long term assistance. Policies vary in coverage, so it's important to review terms and exclusions before purchasing.
