Long Drink makers are companies or individuals that produce or distribute Long Drink, a popular alcoholic beverage that originated in Finland. The Finnish Long Drink is a mixed drink traditionally made with gin, grapefruit soda, and other flavors, known for its refreshing taste and low alcohol content. Companies in this space are responsible for crafting, bottling, and marketing the beverage, and may also innovate with new flavors or variations. The Long Drink category has gained international popularity, especially in the United States, where several brands now offer their own versions.

Job description

We're looking for a social-first brand builder to own Long Drink's content ecosystem, social presence, creator partnerships, and community growth in the U.S. This leader will build a steady pipeline of platform-native content that drives conversation, engagement, and brand advocacy.
Long Drink has built one of the most passionate communities in the industry and established itself as a brand consumers genuinely advocate for. As the brand enters its next phase of growth and rapid national expansion, we're looking for a leader who is excited by the opportunity to scale that momentum while preserving the authenticity, community, and cultural relevance that have made Long Drink successful to date.
The ideal candidate understands how modern brands are built through conversation, community, creators, and cultural participation. They have a proven track record leading social strategy and execution, with particular strength in grassroots community building and turning engagement into long-term brand advocacy.
This role sits at the intersection of social media, culture, influencer marketing, community management, consumer care, and communications. We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Success will require identifying opportunities before competitors, building strong cross-functional relationships, and helping shape how Long Drink continues to show up in culture as it reaches millions of new consumers.
This is a social-first leadership role focused on accelerating Long Drink's growth through content, creators, community, and culture. While the role also oversees the brand's communications ecosystem, earned media and PR serve primarily to amplify these efforts. The position manages one direct report, making strong leadership, coaching, and prioritization skills essential.

  • Creates social-first ideas that drive conversation, advocacy, earned attention, and business impact.
  • Establishes Long Drink as a culturally relevant brand across sports, lifestyle, entertainment, and emerging communities.
  • Turns consumers into ambassadors and engagement into long-term brand loyalty.
  • Identifies trends, creators, partnerships, and opportunities before competitors.
  • Builds repeatable growth engines across social, creators, community, communications, and earned media.
  • Operates with an ownership mindset, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
  • Helps shape how Long Drink shows up in culture as the brand continues to scale nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Long Drink's Social, Culture & Community Strategy
  • Own Long Drink's organic social strategy, content ecosystem, community management, and cultural relevance agenda.
  • Develop social-first creative platforms, content franchises, and activation ideas that drive engagement, conversation, and advocacy.
  • Identify emerging cultural trends, creators, communities, and opportunities that can fuel brand growth and keep Long Drink relevant, talked about, and shared.
  • Champion experimentation across platforms, formats, technologies, and creator partnerships.
  • Leverage social listening and consumer insights to identify opportunities, inform strategy, and shape brand storytelling.

Lead Influencer & Creator Partnerships
  • Develop and oversee Long Drink's influencer and creator strategy.
  • Identify, develop, and manage creator partnerships that authentically align with Long Drink's brand and consumer.
  • Balance long-term relationship building with campaign-specific activations.
  • Partner with agencies and creators to bring content, activations, and cultural moments to life.
  • Ensure creator programs drive both authentic advocacy and measurable business impact.

Community & Consumer Engagement
  • Oversee community management and consumer care programs, ensuring Long Drink maintains a distinctive, authentic, and engaging voice across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Foster meaningful consumer engagement that strengthens brand loyalty and advocacy.
  • Build systems and processes that allow Long Drink's community to scale without losing what makes it special.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Partner across Brand Marketing, Sales, Media, Shopper Marketing, Regional Marketing, and Communications.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial, challenger-brand mindset to every aspect of the business.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, creativity, accountability, and action.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner while remaining willing to roll up your sleeves and execute when needed.

Own Brand Communications & Earned Media
  • Lead Long Drink's earned media and communications strategy.
  • Partner closely with internal Communications and Brand teams to identify stories worth telling.
  • Serve as the primary marketing lead with PR agency partners, ensuring efforts are aligned to business objectives and brand strategy.
  • Develop integrated plans that connect social, influencer, earned, experiential, and owned channels.
  • Identify opportunities to transform brand initiatives, partnerships, product launches, and activations into earned media moments.
  • Manage agency relationships, briefing processes, strategic planning, and performance reviews.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Several years of relevant experience across social media, communications, influencer marketing, brand marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in beverage alcohol, CPG, lifestyle, or other high-growth consumer brands preferred.
  • Proven experience building brands through social, creators, communities, and communications.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Prior people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and coach talent.
  • Strong agency management and cross-functional collaboration experience.

Skills Needed to Be Successful

  • Strong strategic thinking paired with exceptional execution skills.
  • Ability to identify trends early and convert insights into action.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
