Description:

Belstra Group Farms LLC is a pig production organization with multiple swine farm facilities located in Northwest Indiana. Belstra is in search of a full-time bus driver, light maintenance & pig care at our Sow Units. Belstra Group Farms is committed to producing the highest quality of pigs. This individual is responsible for safely driving a bus filled with pigs from site to site. This job starts at 6 am each day averaging 50 hours per week, including weekends. The individual member must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.


Job Duties and Responsibilities (Included but not limited to):

  • Driving a remodeled school bus filled with pigs safely from driveway to barn
  • General welding and electrical work
  • Routine equipment/facility maintenance
  • Use common hand and power tools
  • Some pig handling
  • Keep the bus clean
  • Follow all animal handling guidelines & biosecurity requirements
Requirements:

  • Able to drive safely on the road in all weather conditions
  • Patience and attention to detail
  • Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
  • Basic knowledge of farm maintenance
