Job description

Driver / Operator
Transdev in Kennesaw, GA is hiring a Driver/Operator to facilitate classroom and behind-the-wheel training to drivers. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

CBA Position:
Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:
  • $22.50hr - (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
  • Starting pay $22.50 with progression to $24.90

Benefits include:
  • Vacation: up to 14 days per year
  • Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new drivers
  • Maintain required training documentation and completion for compliance with state certification, company policies and district, state & federal requirements.
  • Additional safety program responsibilities such as, accident investigation, forms compliance, & safety meetings
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsements for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV)
  • 1 to 3 years transportation & safety experience.
  • Knowledge of federal and state safety rules and regulations.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
