Job description

About RadX

RadX is a physician-led outpatient imaging platform operating approximately 26 centers across Michigan, Maryland, Florida, and Tennessee. We partner with independent radiology practices and imaging center owners who want a growth partner rather than an exit to a faceless roll-up - physicians retain a clinical voice, and we bring capital, payer leverage, and operating infrastructure.

We are in an active acquisition phase and are building a dedicated origination function to feed it.

The Role

You will own the top of our M&A funnel. This is a hunting role: identifying independent imaging centers and radiology practices, getting in front of the physician-owners, building trust over months (not weeks), and converting cold markets into signed LOIs. You will not be handed a list of bankered processes - the whole point of this seat is to find deals before they hit a banker.

You will be on the road. Deals in this industry are sourced at practice sites, state radiology society meetings, RSNA/ACR/RBMA conferences, and over dinner with a physician-owner who has never spoken to a buyer before. If you want to source from a desk, this is not the role.

What You'll Do

  • Build and own a proprietary pipeline of acquisition targets across current and expansion markets - independent imaging centers, radiology groups, and multi-site operators.
  • Conduct market mapping: identify ownership, modality mix, site count, payer posture, and succession dynamics for every meaningful independent operator in target geographies.
  • Run direct, physician-respectful outreach - calls, emails, and in-person visits - and manage long-cycle relationships with owners who are 6-36 months from a decision.
  • Travel to markets to meet owners on site, tour facilities, and develop a firsthand read on each opportunity.
  • Qualify targets against our investment criteria (revenue, EBITDA, modality mix, referral base, real estate, payer contracts) and prepare concise internal screening memos.
  • Coordinate physician-to-physician engagement, pulling in our CEO and clinical leadership at the right moment in each relationship.
  • Support the transition from indication of interest to LOI, working alongside our CEO and CFO through valuation discussions and diligence kickoff.
  • Represent RadX at industry conferences, state radiology societies, and regional medical associations.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and report pipeline status, conversion metrics, and market intelligence to leadership on a set cadence.

What You Bring

Required

  • 5+ years in healthcare business development, M&A origination, physician practice acquisitions, or healthcare services sales with a documented record of self-sourced deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with physician-owners and other clinical decision-makers.
  • Comfort with the financial vocabulary of a deal: EBITDA, adjustments, multiples, working capital, earnouts, and rollover equity.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50-70%, including multi-day regional trips on short notice.
  • Discretion. You will be handling confidential information about closely held businesses.

Preferred

  • Experience in outpatient imaging, radiology, or another ancillary services vertical.
  • Prior work inside a multi-site healthcare platform pursuing a buy-and-build acquisition strategy.
  • Existing relationships in Michigan, Maryland, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, or the Southeast.
  • Familiarity with practice valuation mechanics and quality of earnings processes.

What Success Looks Like

90 days: Target markets mapped, CRM built, and the first tranche of owner conversations underway.

6 months: A qualified pipeline of active, proprietary opportunities, with several in substantive valuation dialogue.

12 months: Multiple signed LOIs originated by you, and a repeatable origination motion that does not depend on any single relationship.

Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to originated and closed transactions. Full benefits, travel expenses covered, and meaningful upside for a person who can consistently produce proprietary deal flow.

To Apply

Send your resume and include short note describing a deal you personally sourced - how you found it, how you got the owner to take your call, and what it took to get to LOI
