Job Title: Logistics & Import/Export Coordinator
Location: 2 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709
Schedule: 8:30 AM to 05:00 PM; 30 Minutes break
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain/Business Management, Engineering, Science, or a related field.Years of experience should be in logistics, production planning, or customer service. Foreign trade experience is a plus.Experience working with SAP (R3 or S4) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in managing foreign trade transactions highly preferred. Ideally the candidate will have 1+ years' experience with SAP R3.Experience with managing logistics and customer service experience are required.
Responsibilities:Be responsible for and work collaboratively with supply chain managers to review, prioritize, and coordinate the supply and physical logistics of finished products to regional and 3rd party customers, from receipt of the purchase order (PO), through delivery of goods using appropriate mode of transport (i.e. ocean, rail, truck or air if needed), to final invoicing of the customer and all functions of foreign trade associated with this process in a legally compliant manner.Manage the inbound logistics for selected key raw materials from BASF internal and 3rd party suppliers, performing such tasks as maintaining purchase outline agreement, converting/entering purchase orders (PO), communicating with supplier on document requirements, supporting import broker in customs entry filing, and tracking status on import shipment among other activities
Employ your strong communication skills in effectively working with Lead Logistics Partner, Logistics Service Providers and other stake holders (e.g. warehouse, manufacturing sites, sourcing and supplier contacts) to ensure required transport activities are being organized for all shipments.Experience working with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in managing foreign trade transactions preferred.
