Job description

Clean Harborsย is looking for aย Dispatcherย to join their team inย Grande Prairie, AB.

This is a permanent full-time role that will support all internal and external customer requests and troubleshooting on a day-to-day basis.ย 

This is a high-volume role that will require exemplary customer service, ability to make quick decisions and maintain good communication lines between other divisions within the team on regular basis. The role will have direct oversight our seasonal labor pool and will coordinate and support in a few high-volume activities including onboarding, training and travel logistics.

  • Ensuring that Health and Safetyย is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Assist branch manager with the hiring and onboarding of temp/seasonal labour pool employees; submission of workflows and Driver applications, maintaining personnel files and system databases;
  • Schedules and assigns training as required;
  • Acts as an available resource/ liaison for all labour pool employees; this may include troubleshooting our systems to assist employees with navigating to online training assignments and/or with system access issues;
  • Updates and maintains training records; includes data entries into Learning Management System;
  • Takes all phone calls from employees and other internal customers in a professional and courteous manner; fostering strong relationships with all customers;
  • Provides a daily schedule of the employees' activity
    Manages and dispatches a daily schedule for all employees -to manage the board and get people out to work
  • Communicates daily with all employees to confirm awareness of schedule and to promote employee engagement
  • Arranges/coordinates travel for employees; includes booking flights and securing hotel accommodations
  • Maintains hours of service on all labour pool drivers; ensures employees are compliant with company policies and legislative standards including electronic logs;
  • Maintains and reports PPE inventory counts;
  • Performs other duties and tasks as required by the Clean Harbors business needs
