This position is fully mobile, requiring travel between sites as needed. The location is no longer in Cuba.

Job Title: Logistics Technician

Job Description:
The work generally involves equipment and supply actions. Ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts.
Computer technical abilities are required. Performs aspects of technical supply management work (e.g. inventory management, storage management, cataloging related to supply activities, technical ability with computer hardware/software).
U.S. Citizenship is required. A valid passport is desirable.

Multiple locations may include: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Chicago, IL, Miami, FL, San Diego, CA, New York, NY, Boston, MA, Texas, and other sites.

This position is fully mobile, requiring travel between sites as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, operations and processes, policies, quality, and other established guidelines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Technical capabilities with working knowledge of logistics software or databases for managing inventory.
• Work closely with other logistics personnel, warehouse staff, and drivers.
• Receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within established guidelines
• Clearly communicate to senior leaders (both internal and external), vendors and customers
• Support vendor/customer relationships
• Monitor and coordinate shipment details, verify causes of delays and implement solutions through management
Inspect and examine received equipment and ensure timely delivery of products
Maintain inventory levels
• Proficient in shipping and receiving material requirements
• Identify and correct issues with property or equipment documents
• Manage route activities such as invoicing, receipts, shipment tracing
• Assist with continual improvement initiatives
• Execute day to day processes and perform data management applying a combination of data mining, data modeling, and data analysis; cost/benefit analysis and/or problem analysis
• Undertake ad-hoc queries and maintain reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs to support the business
• Proficient in transportation alignment, storage, handling supplies and equipment
• May be required to perform other duties outside of the supply role and other duties as assigned
• Must be able to lift approximately 50lbs
• Some assembly may be required
• Adhere to company’s QMS policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Education/Experience:
• HS Diploma or Bachelor and 2 years of experience
• BS/BA in Business, logistics or related field is a plus 
• Specialized training courses are desirable
• Healthcare and safety courses are desirable
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer and software/hardware systems
• US citizenship is required
• Prior military experience is preferred
• A valid passport is desirable
