JOB LOCATION : Main Campus
DEPARTMENT: WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, Between 7a and 5:30p, with extra time as required
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for establishing and monitoring the distribution process across all SGMC Health campuses. Ensuring adequate operational supply availability by implementing and maintaining processes and procedures to optimize supply chain logistics. Oversight of all distribution employees including, but not limited to, scheduling, enforcing policy adherence, evaluating performance, resolving employee conflicts, and performing other personnel duties as required. Daily ongoing requirements: Directing the activities of all SGMC Health campuses' warehouse supervisors, materials coordinators, and logistics drivers/couriers and provide daily leadership and directives. Oversee the receiving of materials and improve efficiencies in the customer delivery process. Daily evaluations of the current logistics processes and streamlining operations. Manage and control authority for the storage and removal of all offsite storage records based on HIPPA and SGMC Health policy. Work with departments to monitor and reduce the expenditures of offsite records retention. Remove all records in a timely and efficient manner. Oversee the receiving of materials and improve efficiencies in the customer delivery process. Daily evaluations of the current logistics processes and streamlining operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES โ€ข
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4 year college with a degree in Business Administration and 5-7 years of experience in materials handling and or inventory management. Job history and overall experience relative to the job will be considered in lieu of the above preferred qualifications.
  • Basic computer skills to include proficient use of Excel and Word.
  • Ability and experience to manage the efforts and activities of assigned employees and direct the daily functions of a materials management warehouse and storage.
  • Ability to understand and teach the proper use of materials management distribution systems to others.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Develop and foster a team effort with all assigned employees and customers.

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Business and warehouse with the possibility of irregular hours with some on-call status. Extreme mental effort under busy conditions and constant change (stress). Ability to assess problem, make decisions, and be innovative. A great deal of time will be spent in meetings and on the phone discussing needs/concerns.
