Our employees take pride in their work and show dedication to their job. As the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for demand planning, forecasting and customer care for select clients. Your attention to the small details and strong work ethic will ensure our operations continue to run smoothly and our customers receive superior service. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead/direct planning-related functions of the distribution center, e.g., plan and schedule inbound receipts and outbound shipments, replenishment activities, inventory slotting, capacity analysis, order prioritization and expedite processing
  • Develop and execute operational level reporting for site level leadership team and the client
  • Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance
  • Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer, partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts
  • Track, record and maintain planning and operations-related data; deploy planning-based metrics to ensure optimized operational efficiencies
  • Support the identification and deployment of cost-saving initiatives through deployment of planning based continuous improvement initiatives within the site
  • Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 4 years of experience with complex demand planning activities
  • Experience utilizing and deploying solutions within industry leading business intelligence solutions (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or equivalent)
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or other related field
  • Working knowledge/understanding of SQL or similar programing languages
  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • APICS certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing principles
  • Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience                            
  • Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
