In Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you drive the performance of global supply chains-optimising processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the seamless movement of critical shipments. Your work directly supports the timely delivery of life-saving medicines and essential goods, from semiconductors to renewable energy components.
The National Air Logistics Operations Optimization role focuses on enhancing and standardizing operations across the network. Through close collaboration with CCL, OCC, and RCC teams, and hands-on engagement with frontline operations, you identify inefficiencies and implement practical, scalable solutions. Leveraging processes, systems (including eTouch), and KNGS, you lead initiatives that improve service delivery, reduce operational costs, and align with global standards-driving consistent, measurable performance improvements.
How you create impact
Ownership and delivery of Operations Optimization projects and initiatives within the country, including:
  • Partnering with the Global Operations Optimization Team to co-design scalable concepts and solutions aligned with global standards
  • Validating solutions through close collaboration with Operations Managers (CCL, OCC, RCC), ensuring practical applicability and frontline adoption
  • Leading end-to-end implementation and driving sustained success of operational improvements, including system utilization (e.g., eTouch)
  • Acting as the key interface between MA-OM, MA-IS, and the country organization, supporting testing, deployment, and issue resolution
  • Continuously improving and standardizing operational processes in collaboration with KNGS to enhance efficiency, consistency, and performance

What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Product Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of Air Logistics / Air Freight operations experience with strong knowledge of end-to-end processes
  • Proven expertise in project management, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of Air Logistics services, carrier networks, and supplier relationships
  • Advanced proficiency in KN Air Logistics systems (e.g., SALOG, BPA, CareLOG)
  • Experience driving process improvements with a structured, solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives in both direct and virtual team environments
  • Experience managing cross-functional and international projects preferred
  • Change-oriented mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on performance, quality, and results
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
