-Position: 2nd Shift Logistics Coordinator

-Location: Huntington Beach, CA

-Shift: Monday -; Friday 11:00am -; 8:30pm

-Pay: $27.50 per hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate may also possess the following skills:

  • Coordinate all activities related to picking up cargo from any point in the USA and delivery to the ports of export, request bookings with airlines, AES filing, export documentation (commercial Invoices, etc.); with assistance from manager as required
  • Utilizing in-house systems to produce shipping documentation
  • Domestic Coordination routing of all shipments and send pre-alerts to LSP's in a timely manner
  • Coordinate routing of all outbound export shipments, prepare import/export documents in compliance with all agencies and send pre-alerts to destination offices and agents in a timely manner
  • Operational housekeeping, to ensure the shipping file is updated accordingly including but not limited to Post Flights, PODs, upload relevant documents into E-docs in CargoWise, invoicing/billing.
  • Monitoring shipment progress/update milestones in CargoWise.
  • Liaise with CRYOPDP vendors for updates, cost, routing options, etc.
  • TCP and TCV recognition and management with the assistance of Senior LC and/or Manager.
  • Communicate daily with warehouse staff to provide packaging and related services CargoWise data entry accuracy rate (target: 98%+ milestone completion within 2 hours of event)
  • Email response time to internal requests (target: under 1 hour during business hours)
  • Billing file completeness before handoff to senior team (target: zero missing fields)
  • Packaging preparation accuracy (target: zero conditioning errors per quarter)
  • SOP compliance during internal audits

Familiarity with GDP principles and temperature-controlled logistics (training provided).

  • Basic understanding of IATA shipping regulations.
  • Proficiency in CargoWise data entry: shipment file creation, milestone updates, and document uploads.
  • Customer-centric with a strong ability to creatively solve problems and a "make it happen" mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and manage high workloads in challenging situations and meet deadlines
  • Ability to make considered and consistent decisions

Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing 20-;80 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks including packaging and conditioning.

Role Purpose:

Assist in coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments. Provide communication to both shippers and carriers. Assist in coordinating and providing problem-solving and order management for customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in coordination of export/import shipments.
  • Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments.
  • Track and trace all shipments.
  • Update and maintain Transportation Management System(s) - SAP.
  • Prepare and publish daily, weekly reports.
  • Obtain data to assist in analysis on performance trends.
  • Proactively identify problems to management.
  • Answer and resolve basic billing questions when needed.
  • Prepare client invoice packets
  • Confirm rates with carriers.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
  • 6 months - 1 year warehouse or logistics experience, preferred
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually
