How we LEAD:
Universal Music Manufacturing & Logistics is seeking a logistics data analyst to support e-commerce and retail operations with analytics in the areas of distribution and transportation.
This role is responsible for analytics and reporting on warehouse and carrier performance, and other projects to support supply chain improvements.
What you'll CREATE:
  • Prepare and publish daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Analyze data to identify supply chain process improvements with regards to cost and performance
  • Prepare carrier rate tables and ensure accuracy on artist stores and internal tools
  • Prepare presentations to recommend new carriers and services, support RFPs, and propose carrier utilization strategies
  • Support the Transportation Team with carrier on-time performance reporting and research, freight spend reporting and research, lane rate analysis, as well as tracking shipments during peak periods

Essential:
  • 3 years' experience working in an analytical role with a focus on data cleansing, analysis, problem resolution and taking action to deliver results
  • Solid experience using online tools and/or Excel for data analysis to improve operational processes.
  • 3 years' experience and proven, positive track record as a Data Analyst, Logistics Analyst or in a comparable role
  • Demonstrated proficiency with reporting and online tools to extract data for analysis
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency with reporting and online visibility tools
  • Proficient in transportation management systems (TMS) or an order management system
  • Understanding of order management, distribution, and transportation processes
  • Understanding and familiarity with supply chain concepts
  • Strong computer skills including advanced use of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Access and SQL
  • High Level of attention to detail
  • Knows how or where to obtain information; is resourceful.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends, make educated conclusions based upon data
  • Embraces teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prioritizes work activities; plans and stays organized
  • Manages timelines; deals effectively with the challenges of a fast pace, high pressure environment and deadlines.

Preferred:
  • Experience in consumer products, retail operations, or e-commerce is preferred.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics. Related experience or Certificates in lieu of degree will be considered.
