Position Summary

Sanhua International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Intern to support daily warehouse and supply chain operations. This internship provides hands-on experience across key logistics functions, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, auditing, warehouse management systems (WMS), and operational documentation. The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to distribution center operations while developing skills applicable to future careers in logistics, supply chain management, and operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving Operations

  • Assist with scheduling inbound shipments and container arrivals.
  • Verify packing lists against receiving documentation and physical inventory.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure received materials are processed accurately within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Shipping Operations

  • Review and verify customer orders prior to shipment.
  • Assist with Bill of Lading (BOL) preparation and shipping documentation.
  • Generate and apply shipping labels.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Support truck loading activities while ensuring shipping accuracy.
  • Maintain shipping records and upload required documentation.

Inventory Control

  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Assist with inventory discrepancy investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
  • Support inventory reconciliation efforts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Warehouse Systems & Administrative Support

  • Learn and utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support daily operations.
  • Process logistics and inventory-related documentation.
  • Maintain organized records and operational reports.
  • Communicate with internal teams to resolve operational issues and support customer needs.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.
Qualifications

Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
