Summary of Responsibilities Job Summary:

The Manager, Warehouse & Logistics is a key leader within Supply Chain Management responsible for transforming warehouse operations, material flow, and logistics into a fully integrated lean production system. This role owns the end-to-end movement, storage, and distribution of materials across the operation, ensuring process reliability, transactional accuracy, and on-time execution. This leader drives continuous improvement, modularization, and disciplined operational management while fostering a high-performance team rooted in safety, quality, and accountability. Through strong collaboration with Planning, Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, and Program teams, the Manager enhances system performance and enables scalable, world-class operations.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the warehouse operation.
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to perform their daily tasks.
  • Responsible for the execution of all inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring material is processed smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain all aspects of the logistics network, including the development of long-term contracts with 3rd party carriers.
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries and pickups to successfully meet our customer requirements.
  • Successful candidate will possess demonstrated leadership skills in a high-performance work team environment.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills and the ability to bring together ad-hoc teams to fulfill core expectations of supplier product/service cost, quality, and schedule for projects and programs.
  • Execute responsibilities in an independent manner, to include overseeing Government Property Management.
  • Daily attendance is essential for this position.
  • Lead daily warehouse, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and logistics operations with a focus on safety, accuracy, and on-time execution.
  • Implement and sustain lean systems for material flow, warehouse layout, standard work, and visual management.
  • Oversee inbound/outbound transportation, freight planning, carrier performance, and logistics compliance.
  • Ensure inventory integrity through disciplined cycle counting, reconciliation, and transactional accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
  • Develop, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel, building a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain to align material readiness to the production schedule.
  • Champion system reliability improvements across ERP, WMS, scanning, labeling, and material traceability processes.
  • Manage space utilization, warehouse layout optimization, and modularization strategies for scalable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, export, safety, and corporate logistics standards.
Knowledge (Education/License/Certification, Prior Experience):
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Experience using Visual Factory/Warehouse and LEAN tools and processes to drive standard work across the enterprise
  • Requires demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, business judgment, innovation, and teaming skills
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and lead cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities within fast-paced operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP II systems, network scheduling, and WMS technologies.
  • Experience with RFID, barcoding, scanning, and digital warehouse tools.
  • Ability to interpret aircraft manuals, service bulletins, and customer compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean tools including value stream mapping, standard work, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business analysis tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to lead logistics strategy, including space optimization and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Knowledge of import/export, ITAR, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to lead teams, coach talent, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.
Travel/Physical Requirements:
  • Requires lifting of items weighing up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Requires physical effort associated with standing/walking/sitting.
  • Requires ability to twist, bend, squat, climb, and/or other body movements to successfully accomplish the requirements of the position.
  • Requires kneeling on occasion in performance of duties.
