Summary:


Our Grande Prairie, Alberta hub is one of Certarus’ busiest locations. As such we are adding to the team with an Operations Supervisor. This role will work collaboratively with the Operations team being responsible for leading the technical support in the region. Additionally, this role will be responsible for ensuring all customer needs are met, while maintaining high equipment up time and demonstrating leadership in our safety program initiatives.


Location & Schedule:

• This position holds normal business hours but is always ready to support 24-hour operations.
• Frequent travel within the service area is expected, with occasional travel outside on an
intermittent basis.


Duties & Responsibilities:


• Lead the hiring and day-to-day management of technicians while ensuring they are trained in all aspects of safety.
• Ensure all equipment is running efficiently and maintained accordingly.
• Promote safety initiatives with operations in the region in accordance with safety policies, which include safety inspections, safety meetings, and safety compliance.
• Manage the technicians to ensure all the jobs and services calls are planned for the day.
• Review technicians Hazard ID/BBOs and ensure 100% participation on a monthly basis.
• Counsel team on customer complaints or issues and advise on corrective measures.
• Evaluate new employees during training period, determine any additional training needs, and ensure proper coaching and mentoring is in place to support technician development.
• Ensure all service hours tickets are reviewed and approved for employees within your scope.
• Ensure all technicians log maintenance and repairs in our upkeep system and communicate with maintenance supervisor on maintenance needs.
• May be required to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


• Minimum 5 years of operations experience in industrial or oil & gas or industry.
• Previous supervision/management experience with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Candidates with experience in oilfield trucking logistics and/or natural gas compression, electronical, and instrumentation is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities.
• Adaptable with excellent organizational skills and works well under pressure.
• Self - motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
• Must have and maintain a valid clean driver’s license, candidate with a commercial driver’s license is an asset.
• Strong Safety knowledge and background.
