Reporting to the Senior Manager Transportation & Logistics, the Logistics Data & Analytics Specialist is responsible for delivering advanced transportation and supply chain analytics, insights, and project support to improve transportation cost, service performance, and operational efficiency across Hach's logistics network. This role partners cross-functionally with Transportation, Operations, Distribution, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to identify opportunities, solve complex business problems, and drive data-driven decision-making across inbound and outbound logistics operations.This role offers strong visibility across the organization and is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytics, project ownership, and operational problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy and will play a key role in helping optimize transportation performance, improve reporting capabilities, and support strategic logistics initiatives. This position is part of the Transportation & Logistics team located in Romeoville, Illinois, and will be on-site.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Provide advanced analytical support for transportation, freight spend, carrier performance, service metrics, inventory flows, and distribution efficiency

  • Design, automate, and continuously improve recurring reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools across multiple datasets and systems

  • Analyze transportation and logistics data to identify cost savings opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and service improvement initiatives

  • Partner cross-functionally with Transportation, Operations, Distribution, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to support data-driven decision making

  • Lead logistics projects and improvement initiatives with defined scope, timelines, and success metrics

  • Investigate logistics and supply chain issues using root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies

  • Manage weekly and monthly transportation analytics and performance reporting, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights

  • Support carrier performance analysis, freight recovery tracking, and accessorial cost reviews across regions

  • Support monthly logistics allocations and accrual processes in partnership with Finance

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across inbound and outbound transportation operations

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Data Analytics, Operations, or related field

  • 4+ years of professional experience in supply chain analytics, transportation, logistics, operations analytics, or related data-focused roles

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas

  • Experience with BI/data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms

  • Experience working with large or complex datasets, including combining and analyzing data from multiple systems or providers

  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects within supply chain, transportation, operations, or logistics environments

  • ERP system experience such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent platforms preferred

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 USD per year.This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
