We are looking for a talented School to Work - Operations to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Support manufacturing and operations teams by analyzing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
  • Assist with logistics and operational planning activities to help ensure materials, resources, and production schedules are aligned with business needs.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools to collect, organize, and present operational data that supports informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to solve day-to-day production and operational challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by helping evaluate workflows, reduce waste, and enhance process reliability.
  • Support key projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while gaining hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Monitor operational metrics and provide insights that help drive improvements in plant performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, adaptability, and a willingness to learn while contributing meaningful solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Develop problem-solving skills and use data-driven thinking to identify process improvements and address operational challenges. 

  • Maintain strong attention to detail when working with production data, schedules, inventory information, and project documentation. 

  • Adapt quickly to a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment where priorities and business needs can change frequently. 

  • Take initiative and demonstrate ownership of assignments by proactively seeking solutions, asking questions, and following through on commitments.
