Job description

Pay Range
$24.00 - $31.75
Purpose:
The Coordinator - Logistics Operations, will provide leadership and supervision for all Operational activities including: IB receiving, storage, inventory, movement and OB shipping of products, materials, supplies and equipment. This individual will focus on providing excellent customer service and general support to the stores serviced by the Distribution Center.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
  • Relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering results, managing teams, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of general warehouse safety rules
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well under pressure
  • Proficiency with software applications and transportation systems
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Warehouse Management System experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, and/or within a team, across all levels and diverse cultures, and the ability to lead team projects
  • Must pass pre-employment background check

Essential Job Functions:
  • Work within a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Supervise a team of 5 or more employees and their workflow to ensure maximum service levels are maintained
  • Ensure safe and timely loading/unloading of inbound trucks and containers
  • Manage the receipt of inbound purchase orders and transfers into the distribution center including all documentation and relevant communication regarding discrepancies.
  • Review daily priorities with leadership and adjust appropriately according to replenishment needs
  • Coordinate the labeling and shipment of all outbound transfers from the distribution center, including all documentation, system updates, and internal and external communication
  • Monitor open doors in the warehouse to ensure no unauthorized entry.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections of packaging, product, and equipment
  • Assist Supervisor with performance management and recognition
  • Maintain clean, safe, efficient work environment meeting all safety standards
  • Other duties may be assigned as appropriate and in accordance with business needs
  • Operate powered lift equipment

Working Conditions (travel & environment)
  • This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Working hours are subject to change due to business needs and working am and/or pm flexible shifts.
  • Occasional travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Medium Work - Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
