Both roles typically require a high school diploma and involve working in warehouse or distribution environments. To thrive in a logistics role without a degree, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory and supply chain processes, often gained through on-the-job experience or vocational training. Familiarity with logistics management software (such as SAP or Oracle) and warehouse management systems is commonly required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability help you manage shifting priorities and coordinate effectively with team members. These skills ensure efficient operations, accurate order fulfillment, and smooth coordination across the supply chain.

What are logistics jobs that don't require a degree?

Logistics jobs that don't require a degree include positions such as warehouse associate, shipping and receiving clerk, inventory coordinator, forklift operator, and delivery driver. These roles focus on managing, moving, and tracking goods within a supply chain. Many employers provide on-the-job training, and having strong organizational skills and attention to detail can help you advance. Certifications such as OSHA safety or forklift operation can also boost your prospects. Career advancement is possible with experience, and some companies offer opportunities to move into supervisory or specialized roles.

What are common career advancement paths for logistics professionals without a degree?
