PURPOSE
Manages sales, supply chain and sales support activities related to an assigned product or product line, including inventory, purchasing, delivering, and service in order to maximize revenues and profitability, especially in relation to competitor products. Conducts comparative analysis against competitors and provides strategic planning of product direction and features.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages assigned product or product line to ensure maximizing financial goals set by senior management. Tracks product line performance against competitors while keeping current on industry trends and new product development.
  • Plans and manages sales efforts; oversees or initiates optimum purchasing schedule.
  • Visits customers on job sites to initiate sales and provide technical and customer support.
  • Develops short and long-range product line strategy plans including sales and profitability objectives and analysis of performance.
  • Monitors inventory and coordinates purchase and receipt in addition to arranging for service, warranty activity and delivery.
  • Develops and delivers product presentations and training to sales force and customers.
  • Works closely with Logistics, Marketing, Purchasing and other support groups to optimize sales initiatives for assigned products or product lines.
  • Analyzes consumer trends, channel dynamics and strategies that help maximize competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Drives value-added sales process, manages complex proposals and ensures highest level of customer satisfaction by interfacing with vendors and Probuild Holdings business units to ensure a seamless experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field and five (5) years product sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of products or product lines
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Ability to think strategically, forecast and drive sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, negotiating, and influencing skills
  • Ability to use tact and skill in dealing with other staff, management and vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
