Job description

Onekit Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for oversight of daily operations activities within their assigned area. Areas of focus include Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity & People. The Asst. Manager will promote teamwork, both within their department as well as supporting other areas as needed. Their primary focus will be to ensure operations activities are performed as required and maintain a high level of customer experience.

Department: Consolidation Center/Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Expected from 6:00AM-4:00PM) (Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to change based on production requirements)

Location: Onsite, Ellabell, GA 31308

Responsibilities for a Onekit Assistant Manager:

  • Promote a culture of safety within the organization thru behavioral focus, training, and accountability. Champion initiatives focused on creating an incident free workplace.
  • Manage operation staff in day-to-day department activities ensuring policies and procedures are carried out to achieve established business company goals and objectives.
  • Report on daily activities/problems/solutions etc. Initiate continuous improvement activities to remove process barriers, reduce waste, and improve efficiencies.
  • Manage and monitor metrics for Monthly/Weekly logistics reports (stock level, logistic cost, downtime, shortage).
  • Oversee material control, operating standards, inventory management, and Inbound/ln-House logistics flow.
  • Develop, Modify, Train to, and hold accountability to plant SOPs, Rules, etc.
  • Continually coach/Mentor team members with focus on team growth and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
  • Deep dive issues, drive corrective actions to mitigate issue recurrence.
  • Coordinate resources with other departments to ensure all areas are set up to be successful.
  • Manage, oversee company assets and ensure proper utilization and protected.
  • Provide leadership for team members with additional focus on employee morale, cooperation and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for a Onekit Assistant Manager:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a fast-paced logistics assembly production environment required.
  • At least 8 years of logistics, warehousing, distribution, or relevant field
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Ideal strengths for this position include a bias for action, detail oriented & date driven, fast paced, and the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Promote a positive work environment for the team members, focusing on teamwork and associate continued development
  • High volume inventory movement/management
  • Process Flow & Continuous Improvement
  • Conflict Resolution & Leadership Skills.

Physical Demands for a Onekit Assistant Manager:

  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Ability to bend, turn, and use peripherals as required to operate equipment safely within company standard operator procedures.
  • Able to operate heavy machinery including a forklift, tugger, and/or stock chaser.
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Onekit Assistant Manager is $86k - $90k. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
