Job description

Title: Production Control Assistant Manager (Material Planner)

Reports to: Production Control Manager

Department: Production Control

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Summary: Check material requirement to meet seat production plan and compare with on hand inventory and in transit status. Communicate with related suppliers to ensure there is no shortage that will stop production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Establishment of KD/LP material plan.
  • Maintain appropriate material inventory.
  • Seat production plan analysis and check material coverage.
  • Verify that the physical and computerized receiving quantities match.
  • Manage suppliers` material lead time so that seat production schedule would not be interrupted.
  • Maintain appropriate product inventory.
  • Customer production plan analysis and progress management.
  • Communicate and deal with customers to meet their requirements.
  • Support TGPS or SAP for any issues or new implementation of SAP MM module (Material Management system).
  • Support and adhere to 5S to keep work site clean and orderly consistently improving appearance of the teamโ€™s area. Active in following 5Sโ€”Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain organization of work area.
  • Collaborate with Team Members, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and/or other members of Hyundai Transys to be active contributors to the team.
  • Follow requirements of Quality policies and standards, such as, ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF16949
  • Attending all required training as assigned.
  • Comply with and promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.
  • Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Production Control, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred.

Work Experience:

  • At least 5yrs + progressive experience in the Production/Material Control field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual (Korean/English)
