The Logistics Analyst plays a key role in supporting Transportation Management (TM) by transforming operational, carrier, financial, system, and network data into meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making. This position is responsible for transportation reporting, route and tender analysis, accessorial cost analysis, invoice and payment support, TM data quality, and SAP TMS troubleshooting, helping improve service levels, cost efficiency, compliance, and overall operational performance.

Working closely with the Manager, SAP TMS, this role partners with teams across Operations, Logistics, Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, carriers, and third-party partners to support continuous improvement initiatives and day-to-day transportation execution. The position also takes on several responsibilities previously managed by the Logistics Specialist role, expanding its focus on analytics, systems support, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

TRANSPORTATION REPORTING, ABALYTICS & BUSINESS INSIGHTS

Own and continuously improve recurring transportation reporting, including DAS Report, DAS Reconciliation, Yard Report, Unplanned Report, Local Data Model Report, Undelivered Report, and ad-hoc operational reporting support.

Develop insights from truckload market data, transportation network analysis, routing compliance trends, carrier performance, cost drivers, exceptions, and operational data to support decision-making.

Support annual business planning, transportation BID/RFP review, and other planning cycles through analysis, data preparation, and scenario support.

Maintain and enhance Snowflake database reporting and data sources that support TM and logistics visibility.

TENDER, ROUTING & NETWORK COMPLIANCE ANALYSIS

Perform tender analysis and accessorial analysis to identify cost, compliance, and operational improvement opportunities.

Support carrier routing compliance analysis, including trend review, exception identification, root cause support, and recommended countermeasures.

Review TM tender approvals and TM cockpit activity to identify risks, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.

Partner with Operations and Logistics stakeholders to resolve transportation exceptions and improve network execution.

SAP TM / EWM DATA QUALITY, TESTING & TROUBLESHOOTING

Support SAP TM/EWM reconciliation, load close reconciliation, TM Post-GI data quality, EWM pin verification, and related system/data validation routines.

Participate in TM UAT testing and system project support; document issues, support test execution, and coordinate with functional stakeholders as needed.

Provide TM troubleshooting support and escalation analysis to help resolve operational, system, and process issues impacting transportation execution.

Support Geodis IT project management activity in Jira, including issue visibility, follow-up, documentation, and cross-functional coordination as assigned.

INVOICE, FREIGHT PAY & FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Support invoice corrections, manual payments, credit memo verification, Geodis aged invoicing, and month-end accrual activities.

Assist with TM rate loading, TM rate audit, and freight pay liaison support to Finance and Freight Pay partners.

Identify recurring invoice, accessorial, rate, or payment issues and partner with stakeholders to recommend process or system improvements.

Prepare accurate, timely reporting and documentation that supports financial controls, month-end routines, and freight payment accuracy.

CARRIER, VENDOR & STAKEHOLDER PARTNERSHIP

Support carrier OTP and OTD scorecard reporting and analysis, including data preparation, trend review, and performance visibility.

Partner with carriers, third-party logistics providers, Finance/Freight Pay, Operations, Logistics, and Planning stakeholders to resolve transportation issues and improve service performance.

Support Geodis planning and delivery exceptions and coordinate with internal partners to ensure issues are reviewed, documented, and addressed.

Provide Ramp-up call support and other recurring stakeholder routines that require transportation data, issue tracking, or analytical follow-up.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & PROCESS SUPPORT

Identify process gaps, automation opportunities, recurring exceptions, and reporting improvements that support TM continuous improvement.

Translate operational issues into clear analysis, recommended actions, and measurable process improvements.

Support automation-pending invoice correction workstreams and other improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and strengthen controls.

Provide PTO/support coverage for designated TM Operations Specialist tasks as assigned to maintain continuity of transportation operations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations analysis, freight pay, SAP TMS, or a related analytical role preferred.

Experience working in SAP TM/TMS, EWM, WMS, Snowflake, Jira, carrier portals, freight pay/invoice systems, or similar transportation and data platforms preferred.

Experience supporting transportation reporting, route/tender analysis, invoice issue resolution, carrier performance reporting, or operational analytics in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred.

Experience with cross-functional process improvement, UAT/system testing, and issue troubleshooting preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Role is based in a warehouse/distribution center environment and may require periodic time on the warehouse floor or yard to understand process flow, data issues, carrier activity, or operational exceptions.

Must be able to perform standard office work using a computer for extended periods and support occasional business needs outside regular business hours.

Travel up to 5% as business needs require.

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $69,600 to $104,400 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
