TheBusiness Development Director for ourContract Logistics Consumer verticalis a senior commercial leader responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and securing highvalue partnerships for Kuehne + Nagel's contract logistics services. This role oversees commercial strategy development, pipeline expansion, and endtoend management of the customer acquisition cycle.

How you create impact
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for contract logistics within assigned markets and verticals.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities to build a strong commercial pipeline.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing strategy, proposal development, and contract execution.
  • Manage the complete customer engagement lifecycle, from initial outreach through tendering, award, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with operations, solution engineering, finance, and key account teams to design tailored logistics solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key prospects and maintain strategic customer relationships.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to support commercial strategy and valueproposition development.

What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in contract logistics and 3PL/4PL business development; experience in the consumer vertical beneficial.
  • Demonstrated success in new business acquisition and managing largescale tenders or proposals.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create customercentric logistics solutions.
  • Advanced negotiation and presentation capabilities for executivelevel engagements.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into operational logistics and service models.

Please note that while this role is remote in the United States, you will be expected to travel 50%+ nationally depending on business need.
