LOTTE GLOBAL LOGISTICS is a leading logistics provider with a strong global network. Our [Insert Branch Location] branch operates as a key hub for our international freight forwarding services, supported by and in close coordination with our Korean Head Office.
Position: Senior Manager Freight Forwarding
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented Sr. Manager to oversee the complete freight forwarding operations. The successful candidate will be the primary liaison between the branch and the Korean Head Office, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management amp; Oversight
  • Manage and oversee the entire end-to-end freight forwarding operation, including both Ocean (Sea) and Air freight for Import and Export shipments.
  • Ensure all operational procedures comply with global and local regulations (e.g., customs, trade compliance).
  • Optimize operational efficiency, quality, and profitability across all service lines.
  • Monitor performance KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
2. Head Office amp; Internal Communication
  • Serve as the main point of contact and communication channel between the local branch and the LOTTE GLOBAL LOGISTICS Head Office in Korea.
  • Prepare and submit regular performance reports, budget forecasts, and strategic updates to the Head Office.
  • Ensure the local branch strategy is fully aligned with the corporate strategy and directives from the Head Office.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and cooperation across international branches and departments.
3. Sales amp; Business Development
  • Lead the branch's new business development and sales management efforts, with a focus on acquiring new freight forwarding clients
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, carriers, and vendors.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
4. Team Leadership amp; Administration
  • Manage, mentor, and lead the local branch team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and compliant work environment.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and P amp;L management for the branch.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry, with significant experience in a managerial or operational leadership role.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Ocean Freight (Import/Export) and Air Freight (Import/Export) operations, documentation, and regulations.
  • Language: Fluency in both Korean and English (Bilingual) is essential (written, spoken, and technical business communication) to effectively liaise with the Korean Head Office and international clients.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
