Ozark Aeroworks LLC (OZARK) is the OZARK Model T53 Engine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). OZARK also provides full maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO)—including fuel accessories, machining, and welding capabilities, providing for fast shop component repairs. The OEM and MRO businesses are collocated in our Springfield, MO facility. OZARK’s primary MRO product lines include the T53 Engine, T53 fuel controls and governors, and Rolls-Royce M250 Engine (specifically the C47, C30, and C20 models). As the OEM, OZARK is a full-service provider of new parts, MRO, and engineering services.

OZARK is the respected leader of the T53 Engine, known for its overall MRO capabilities and high level of customer commitment. To help us continue growing, we are seeking a motivated Logistics Specialist MRO Shipping to join our highly skilled team. This position will report directly to the Director of Material Logistics.

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The Logistics Specialist MRO Shipping will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of our business and participate at its operational level. This role is responsible for assisting in all activities relating to the shipping of required aviation parts, as well as parts retrieval, packaging, recording, counting, documenting, and shelving of aviation parts, engines, and supplies for Ozark Aeroworks MRO, and our high operation tempo customers. This will include internal parts requirement fulfillment tasks, as well as external inbound and outbound shipments. The Logistics Specialist MRO Shipping will be an essential part of the team, providing daily support to our operations.

It is expected that this position will be actively engaged in the following:

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing shipments of aviation material and articles from our company ERP system (Quantum).
  • Verifying paperwork and communicating with carriers.
  • Pulling, packing, and preparing shipment documents for sales orders, repair orders, and work orders.
  • Prepare packaging and documentation for high value items for safe domestic and international transit in both parcel and freight environments.
  • Determinemostefficient methods of packing, transport, and/or shipping of items.
  • Create shipments online with FedEx, UPS, and other logistic carriers.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient shipping/receiving/warehouse area.
  • Coordinate with multiple levels of supervision todeterminepriorities, and task schedules, based on customer demands.
  • Verify and accurately pull/pick and transport required items needed for technicians within our facility.
  • Handling freight byuse ofa pallet jack and / or forklift.
  • Intradepartmental cross training may be encouraged orrequired.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1–2 years ofshippingexperience, preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite(Word, Excel, Outlook,etc)
