MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING for a 1st shift Logistics Coordinator in the Indianapolis, IN area!
  • Pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Shift: Monday โ€“ Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM
  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (eligible for hire after 90 days)
  • Interview Required: Qualified candidates will interview with the client before placement.
Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator supports daily freight operations with a focus on on-time delivery. This position handles shipment tracking, assists with carrier communication, and supports reporting and data entry within the E2Open TMS platform. The role works closely with warehouse operations, customer service, and carriers to keep freight moving on schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Shipment Tracking
  • Use E2Open TMS to track shipments for customers and vendor freight.
  • Monitor open orders and flag potential service issues; coordinate with carriers and customer service to protect required delivery dates.
  • Confirm deliveries are on track to meet required arrival windows.
  • Communicate carrier requirements and appointment policies as needed.
  • Assist with freight claims.
  • Carrier Communication & Performance Support
  • Coordinate with carriers on policy non-compliance regarding appointment, on-time delivery, and invoicing.
  • Support identification of service issues and escalate as needed.
  • Data Entry & Reporting Support
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and update TMS data as required.
  • Pull standard reports from E2Open TMS and Excel as requested.
  • Perform data entry tasks to support carrier scorecards and freight reporting.
  • Warehouse & Order Coordination
  • Coordinate daily customer orders with warehouse operations.
  • Assist with internal shuttle fleet scheduling.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of logistics, transportation, or operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of TL and LTL operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods at a desk using a computer and phone.
  • Occasional overtime; rare weekend availability may be needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret computer screens and documents.
  • Must be able to work overtime or occasional weekends if needed
