Southern Irrigation is actively seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team our Langley location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, helping customers, and wants to build a long-term career in the irrigation and water systems industry.


Job Title: Sales Counter & Logistics Associate


Rate of Pay: $25-$35/hr plus benefits (depending on technical knowledge, skills and experience)

Job purpose: This position supports both retail sales and logistics. Primary responsibilities include providing quality customer service and product support at the sales counter while ensuring customer orders are gathered, packaged, processed and sent/delivered accurately, efficiently and safely.


Key Result Areas

  • Consistently treats customers with integrity, honesty and credibility
  • Processes customer orders, POS transactions, payments and order picking/packaging accurately and efficiently
  • Ensures orders are prepared and shipped within the desired time frame while maintaining clean, organized retail and logistics areas


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering personalized attention, quality service and value
  • Help retail customers locate products and advise on products as appropriate
  • Process customer orders, POS transactions and payments
  • Gather and package customer and will-call orders; stock shelves and maintain clean, presentable retail and logistics areas
  • Track shipments as needed and assist in the preparation of inter-company transfers
  • Cross-train on additional Shipper duties, including acquiring rates and preparing customs paperwork
  • Attend year-round training and product knowledge seminars; assist other departments as required and work as a team to achieve collective goals

  • Experience in irrigation or plumbing is preferred
