Job description

Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible and accountable for:

  • Receiving and off-loading materials.
  • Verifying counts to purchase orders.
  • Sorting stock materials from job materials.
  • Checking shipments for damage, noting appropriate paperwork.
  • Ensuring all material is placed in its appropriate areas.
  • Staging of material for installation, shipment, or customer pick up.
  • Assisting internal and external customers with pickup and loading.
  • Utilizing company specific software, to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Utilizing hand tools, mechanical equipment, and motorized equipment in safe and effective manner.
  • Making deliveries as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assisting with special projects and deliveries as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Warehouse functions (receiving, shipping, delivery)
  • Forklift operation
  • Maintaining paperwork
  • Great customer service
  • Computer software (Microsoft, inventory software, etc)

Experience & Other Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items throughout the day.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to more than 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Prior experience driving a box truck in a shipping/receiving/delivery environment is a plus
