Our company is run by a fourth-generation leadership and has operated 3 million square feet of warehousing space in Southeast Michigan for more than 90 years. Evans provides warehousing, fulfillment, value-added, transportation, and staffing services for a variety of customers in automotive, food/beverage, consumer goods, hazmat, paper/raw materials and government service sectors.

Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator position is part of the exciting transportation division within Evans. This individual is responsible for customer service and communication of inbound and outbound customer shipments. Successful candidates are highly effective communicators, organized, and detail oriented. This position requires flexibility and problem-solving in cases where shipments are problematic or complex. The transportation division is an upbeat team of professionals who are passionate about giving a best-in-class transportation management solution to customers.
Essential Job Functions
  • Communicate critical load and delivery information to Evans' Customers.
  • Update load status on Transportation Management System.
  • Assign Drivers to loads and routes throughout the entire shift.
  • Update Customer portals.
  • Assist in achieving high safety standards and adhering to DOT regulations.
  • Notify Management on any equipment concerns.
  • Track loads assigned to our Carrier Partners.
  • Look for backhaul opportunities on internet load boards.
  • Complete daily shift turnover notes.

Requirements
  • College Degree or equivalent Industry Experience.
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry is helpful.
  • Good computer skills. Experience in Excel & Outlook.
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening.

Details & Location
  • Position located in Brownstown, MI
  • 8am to 4pm - Monday through Friday
    • Rotational weekend requirements. Saturday & Sunday on a rotating schedule.
    • Overtime as needed.
  • Starting wage: $20
  • This is not a remote position
