Communications BusinessThe Ultra Supply Chain function manages the processes associated with Indirect and Direct Procurement of goods and materials required to meet the operational demands of the business and the logistics of ensuring that materials are available for operations, and the completed products/services are delivered to the customer.

Sous la supervision de la Superviseure, Conformite commerciale et logistique, la personne retenue sera responsable de l'administration des activites liees aux operations logistiques, incluant les permis d'exportation et la conformite commerciale.

Responsabilites

  • Coordonner les expeditions domestiques et internationales avec les fournisseurs de transport de maniere efficace et economique afin d'assurer un acheminement rapide et adequat des marchandises.
  • Developper et maintenir des relations solides avec les principaux fournisseurs de transport.
  • Rechercher, negocier et optimiser les couts de transport avec les differents fournisseurs.
  • Assurer le suivi aupres des clients internes et externes concernant l'etat des expeditions.
  • Veiller a l'exactitude des donnees saisies et documentees dans les systemes ERP.
  • Effectuer le suivi et maintenir a jour les classifications des produits controles et des exportations.
  • Assurer la conformite des activites d'importation et d'exportation conformement aux reglementations gouvernementales applicables.
  • Preparer et completer toute la documentation requise pour les expeditions nationales et internationales.
  • Effectuer le suivi et le tracage des expeditions aupres des transporteurs.
  • Maintenir a jour les dossiers d'expedition.
  • Entretenir des relations professionnelles avec les organismes gouvernementaux tels que l'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada, Affaires mondiales Canada et le Programme des marchandises controlees.
  • Assurer le suivi des specifications et du developpement des emballages.
  • Developper et maintenir une connaissance approfondie et a jour des programmes de conformite commerciale (Programme des marchandises controlees, Controles des exportations du Canada, EAR, ITAR).
  • Coordonner et assurer le suivi du processus d'equipement fourni par les clients.
  • Preparer et offrir de la formation au personnel concernant les reglementations applicables.
  • Participer a des projets interfonctionnels a titre d'expert(e) en logistique, au besoin.
  • Participer a des projets d'amelioration continue.
  • Effectuer toute autre tache administrative connexe au besoin.

Qualifications

  • Diplome d'etudes collegiales ou baccalaureat dans une discipline pertinente, ou combinaison equivalente de formation et d'experience.
  • Minimum de deux (2) annees d'experience en operations logistiques.
  • Bonne comprehension des pratiques liees a l'expedition, a la reception, a la gestion des inventaires et a l'entreposage.
  • La certification CCLP (CITT-Certified Logistics Professional) constitue un atout.
  • Connaissance des systemes de planification des besoins en matieres (MRP) et de la philosophie Lean.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en leadership.
  • Esprit analytique, autonomie et sens de l'initiative.
  • Capacite d'obtenir et de maintenir une habilitation de securite du gouvernement du Canada (cote de fiabilite et, au besoin, niveau secret) ainsi que de reussir l'evaluation de securite requise pour le Programme des marchandises controlees (PMC).

Role

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Trade Compliance and Logistics, the selected candidate will be responsible for administering logistics operations activities, including export permits and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with transportation providers in the most efficient and cost-effective manner to ensure timely and proper delivery of goods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key transportation providers.
  • Source, negotiate, and optimize freight costs with transportation providers.
  • Follow up with internal and external clients regarding shipment status.
  • Ensure the accuracy and proper documentation of data entered into ERP systems.
  • Track and maintain export control and controlled goods classifications.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with import and export regulations and applicable government requirements.
  • Prepare and complete all required documentation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Track and trace shipments with carriers.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and files.
  • Foster professional relationships with government agencies such as the Canada Border Services Agency, Global Affairs Canada, and the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Monitor packaging specifications and development activities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong and up-to-date understanding of trade compliance programs, including the Controlled Goods Program, Canada Export Controls, EAR, and ITAR.
  • Coordinate and monitor the Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE) process.
  • Prepare and deliver training to personnel regarding applicable regulations.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects as a logistics subject matter expert, as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other related administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in logistics operations.
  • Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehousing practices.
  • CCLP (CITT-Certified Logistics Professional) designation is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Lean philosophy.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical abilities and initiative.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance (Reliability Status and, when required, Secret Level) and successfully complete a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
