JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking the movement of materials, equipment, and personnel to support safe and efficient oil and gas project execution. The role includes end-to-end logistics coordination and the preparation of Preliminary and Final Project Logistics Plans, as well as End-Of-Well reports with close interfaces across project, supply chain, HSE, and contractor teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Lead and be the main focal point of any transportation, storing and handling of the resources related to Ice Roads, Cargo Management, Personnel Management and Utilities management in the Project/Asset.
  • Ensure all logistics phases Engineering, Long term Planning, Mid term planning and look ahead planning are executed efficiently, Logistics Execution, Cargo Tracking (Monitoring and Control) and Close-out are deployed according to best practices in the sector and complying with local regulations and Company procedures.
  • Establish the baseline for Operational Logistics collecting all the logistics demand.
  • Define logistics scenarios related to Cargo, Personnel and Utilities Management including the proper dimension of the resources to be available for the operations.
  • Determine the Logistics Capacity required to execute the projects activities where the asset resources are used and when additional resources are needed.
  • Full understanding of the Logistics Capacity required by the Project and logistics capabilities.
  • Manage and participate in planning, supervising and execution of the logistics activities & operations to support the asset operations.
  • Develop the logistics strategy for the asset/project defining the delivery points, storage points and main routes of transportation selecting the optimum means and modes of transportation.
  • Design and lead logistics network improvement projects to increase transport capacity, lower costs and enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Elaborate all the required inputs to determine the infrastructure, means and mode of transportation and the place of the main locations to complete the supply chain.
  • Consolidate all users' demand and ensure it is aligned with the logistics budget.
  • Act as primary contract for logistic contracts or engage the operational logistics team in these tasks.
  • Be responsible for issuing logistics scope of works services and do technical evaluations according to the Contracting Plan.
  • Participate in the selection, inspection and audit of the air and ground, Ports required for operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including CFR49 and IATA guidelines.
  • Optimize routing and load planning using internal tools and contracted carrier rates.
  • Manage the logistic team through the following duties: shipping, receiving, storage management, distributing materials, dispatching crews, scheduling transportation crews rerouting optimization, and other related activities.
  • Attend daily meetings and calls with other departments when needed.
  • Identify the potential changes on the plan and allocate the logistics capacity on time to execute the operations.
  • Coordinate the Logistics interface to ensure timely and effective support for the operation.
  • Manage the POB plan for all the work sites including the inputs to properly design the accommodations required at field level.
  • Identify and manage risk within the Operational Logistics activities through contingency plans development.
  • Implement practices, tools and methodologies to ensure the quality of the information documented throughout the process.
  • Ensure Monitoring, Control and Optimization of the performance of contractor's services and approve the services performed them following up daily certification process through SAP as per Company process.
  • Ensure Monitoring, Control and Optimization through establishing key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance and improve performance against set goals.
  • Identify the functional requirements for the digital tools required to enhance the planning and monitoring of the Logistics operations.
  • Gather lessons learned and documentation to prepare final project reports to ensure the knowhow is registered and can be shared.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in oil and gas logistics operations within a remote/arctic environment
  • Previous experience as logistics coordinator on the North Slope
  • General experience with Microsoft Package, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Knowledge in Logistics systems and SAP MM

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee's ability to safely meet job standards.
