Job description

SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator supports the Distribution department with clerical/administrative functions. Support includes administrating various department projects and tasks relating to all phases of Logistics activities. This is a 1 year contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the company.


Outbound Logistics

  • Preparation of shipping documents and scheduling with transportation companies
  • Controlling and approving freight charges/invoices
  • Tracking and controlling the on-time delivery of cargos from warehouse(s) to final customers
  • Processing freight claims, shipping errors, RGA and tracking shipping accuracy KPIs
  • Scheduling inbound containers to warehouses
  • Building loads for shipment from 3PL warehouses and coordinator with 3PL companies for shipment


Secondary Role

  • Replenishing office and warehouse supply
  • Participating in cycle inventory counting
  • Supporting warehouse tasks as needed


Inbound Logistics

  • Scheduling and monitoring on-time shipments of cargos
  • Advance shipping Notification (ASN) to ensure timely customs clearance of cargos by collecting, verifying shipping documents and submitting to brokerage
  • Scheduling imported containers to/from warehouses and 3PLs - high level of coordinating with warehouse manager and between carrier, brokerage and drayage companies to prevent detention/demurrage charges 
  • Coordinating with customers for receipt (delivery appointment) of inbound containers
  • Controlling and approving invoices
  • Following up, updating and communicating ETA with final customer/sales team
  • Processing claims (Damaged/Missing items)


QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Data Science, E-Commerce or Supply Chain is considered an asset
  • Preferably 3 – 5 years work related experience
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Must be detail oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication and organization and time management skills
  • Must have general office skills including utilization of office equipment
  • Must have strong team player skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Word, and Outlook with advanced skills preferred in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, charts and formulas).
  • Experience managing 3PL operations is an asset.
  • Experience using SAP S/4HANA is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate in French, both verbally and in writing, is an asset.
