The Project Manager, Logistics, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing logistics projects that improve supply chain efficiency, transportation operations, inventory management, and distribution processes. This role oversees project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful implementation of logistics initiatives while meeting operational and business objectives.
Key Functions
  • Lead logistics and supply chain projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including transportation, warehousing, procurement, operations, and external vendors.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Manage implementation of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other logistics technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Facilitate meetings, provide project status updates, and communicate progress to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure project outcomes against objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Support change management activities, including training and processing documentation.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of project management experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or distribution environments.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations, warehouse processes, inventory management, and transportation networks.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
