Job description

CompuNet is seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our Safe & Smart Workplace (SSW) team in Boise, Idaho. This role is an excellent opportunity for an organized, customer-focused professional looking to build a career in technology sales and account management. This is primarily an in-office position, with regular onsite presence required to support close collaboration with the SSW team. Remote work opportunities will be limited and based on business needs.

The Safe & Smart Workplace team helps organizations create secure, connected, and productive environments through physical security and room experience solutions. This includes technologies that protect people and facilities while enabling seamless collaboration, communication, and engagement within meeting and shared spaces. As an Associate Account Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting customer engagements and helping ensure a seamless experience throughout the sales and order fulfillment lifecycle.

Working alongside Account Executives, Solutions Engineer, Project Engineer, manufacturers, distributors, and internal operations teams, you will help drive exceptional customer experiences by coordinating quotes, processing orders, tracking deliveries, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate information across business systems. This position provides exposure to the full sales lifecycle and serves as a foundation for future growth within CompuNet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will work closely with the Safe & Smart Workplace sales and engineering teams to support customers and partners across the following areas of responsibility.

SALES SUPPORT & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
  • Support Account Managers in preparing customer quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Help manage opportunities throughout the sales process, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate communication with customers and partners.
  • Serve as a key point of coordination between customers, Account Managers, Solution Engineer, manufacturers, distributors, and internal operations teams.
  • Assist in maintaining customer account information, opportunity records, and sales activity within CompuNet business systems.
  • Deliver responsive and professional communication to customers while reinforcing CompuNet's commitment to exceptional service.
  • Help identify and address customer concerns, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and partners through proactive communication and attention to detail.
ORDER MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS SUPPORT
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently through distributor and manufacturer channels.
  • Track order status, shipments, backorders, and delivery timelines to provide timely updates to sales teams and customers.
  • Coordinate with vendors and distribution partners to ensure products are ordered correctly and at approved pricing.
  • Assist with Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests and customer issue resolution.
  • Support sales and operational teams by helping maintain accurate documentation and transaction records.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, operations, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth order processing and fulfillment.
VENDOR & PARTNER ENGAGEMENT
  • Develop working relationships with key manufacturer and distribution partners.
  • Assist with obtaining pricing, product availability, lead times, and program information.
  • Support the management of vendor promotions, special pricing opportunities, and registration requests.
  • Maintain awareness of partner programs and resources that can benefit customers and sales teams.
