Job description

Operations Supervisor

We are looking for an organized and innovative Operations Supervisor to join our team within our automotive parts logistics operations. This individual with be a key player in supervising lineside processes to ensure smooth flow of operations.

Department: Consolidation Center/Operations

Reports to: Operations Assistant Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Expected from 6:00AM-4:00PM) (Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to change based on production requirements)

Location: Onsite, Ellabell, GA 31308 (Must have the ability to commute within the neighboring facilities for meetings, events, etc.)

Responsibilities for an Operations Supervisor:

  • Provide leadership with effective engagement by coordinating team efforts to achieve KPI goals in areas such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, Customer Experience, Employee Engagement and Cost.
  • Lead /Support continuous improvement projects focused on driving improvements in designated KPI metrics.
  • Manage material flow process, ensuring area production performance achieves customer demand requirements.
  • Assessing staffโ€™s ongoing training needs, gaps, initiating actions to address needs and promote continued growth for the team members.
  • Establish and implement standard operating procedures for Consolidation Center (CC) operations
  • Train employees on SOPs, safety procedures, processes, and attendance policies
  • Complete reports, prioritize projects and monitor compliance with operational policies.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
  • Analyze company policies and procedures to ensure a standard and fair work environment
  • Investigate root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Report all operational issues to COO, including analysis and recommendations.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for an Operations Supervisor:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a fast-paced logistics assembly production environment required.
  • At least 8 years of logistics, warehousing, distribution, or relevant field
  • Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement is preferred
  • Proven experience managing through KPI performance required.
  • Inventory Management experience required.
  • Prior experience in recruitment, selecting, training, mentoring, coaching and disciplining team members required.
  • Must show strong project management, excellent analytical, administrative management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent leadership, strong negotiation, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Excel is required

  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Operations Supervisor is $65,500-$70,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
