Job description

Voyago, Transdev Ontario, is hiring an Operations Supervisor to fill an existing opening based in our Ajax office, supporting operations across the expanded Durham and GTA regions.

Your Role

Operational Oversight

    • Manage the daily operations of transportation services, ensuring compliance with contractual standards and company policies.
    • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure full coverage during regular operations, vacations, and sick leaves.
    • Cover driving runs as required to maintain service continuity.

Team Leadership & Performance

    • Direct and support drivers and staff, monitoring performance through site visits, incident/collision reports, and follow-ups.
    • Provide input for annual performance reviews, address issues promptly, and promote employee engagement through regular meetings.
    • Assist in onboarding, orientation, and training of new hires.
    • Track and support employees through license upgrades, from initiation to completion.

Collaboration & Support

    • Serve as the primary contact for support teams including Maintenance, HR, and Health & Safety.
    • Coordinate with Health & Safety to arrange required training.
    • Maintain strong communication channels to support team success and ensure compliance.

Fleet & Facility Management

    • Support fueling and maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
    • Oversee completion of monthly ghosting and deficiency reports, ensuring timely corrective actions.

Reporting & Administration

    • Monitor and report on KPIs as directed, providing regular updates to the Operations Manager.
    • Ensure accurate and timely entry of payroll, review timesheets, and maintain all required paperwork.

Availability & Commitment

    • Be available on-call for divisional emergencies, including holidays and weekends, as required.
    • Actively contribute to employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.

Schedule: Full-Time | Friday to Tuesday | 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM | 40 hours per week | Wednesday & Thursday off

Salary: $53,000 - $63,000 annually

Your Profile
  • Safety-focused and committed to maintaining the highest driving standards.
  • Hold a valid full G Ontario Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
  • Able to provide a clear Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Strong knowledge of the Greater Durham Region, including Utica, Courtice, and surrounding areas.
  • Proven ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within transportation or logistics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated strength in customer service, with a track record of building positive relationships.
  • Prior transportation experience considered a strong asset, particularly within an On-Demand service environment.
