We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Lot Operations Supervisor with experience in supervising a team of Lot Assistants and Drivers. You will lead our team responsible for coordinating vehicle inventory at the Vehicle Logistic Center (VLC). In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience in leadership, inventory control, and operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in a similar role.

You Are:

  • Adaptable. You will be able to pause & shift tasks to assist other departments with priority requests.

  • Organized. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and orderly lot to ensure efficient operations, including completing regular inventory scans and reporting.

You Will:

  • Be Responsible for the overall management of the Lot department, including planning and organizing department workflow to meet SLAs and support production of recon & mechanic shops

  • Supervise and provide mentorship for Lot Assistants, Drivers, Security, & Stock in team; including allocation of assignments, monitoring production, and performance management; ensuring the department is properly staffed for volume

  • Monitor efficient operation of vehicles moving through the VLC remarketing system, including staging vehicles for reconditioning shops or transportation as well as moving, marking, flagging, repicturing, and/or staging vehicles

  • Ensure production information and reporting is accurately captured in company systems, including VTrace, AMS, and respond to portal or internal requests in a timely manner

  • Ensure vehicles receive & are billed for services in accordance with corporate and customer SLAs

  • Operate vehicles under various weather conditions and may be required to manually remove snow through various means (clearing vehicles of snow, light shoveling in the yard, operating plow truck, bobcat, loader, etc.)

  • Monitor, inspect, and enhance lot operations to ensure compliance with corporate and industry safety standards; ensuring that lot equipment has regular maintenance and repairs as required to remain in good working condition

Who You Will Work With:

  • Reporting to the Lot Operations Manager (or General Manager), this role will collaborate with the VLC leadership, department representatives, sales and commercial accounts team on a daily basis.

Must Haves:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years' supervisory experience

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Experience working outside in all weather conditions

Nice to Haves:

  • Tech-savvy, familiarity with Google Suite is an asset

  • Ability to drive both standard & automatic transmissions

  • Familiarity with AMS, VTrace, or other OPENLANE systems is an asset

  • Bilingual in French and English is ideal

  • Qualified/Experienced in operating plow trucks, bobcats, loaders, and/ or tow trucks is strongly preferred
