We are seeking a service-driven and detail-oriented Barista/Retail Attendant to deliver an exceptional guest experience in our Market Eleven and retail environment. This role blends quality beverage preparation, retail sales, and attentive service while upholding Loews Hotels' standards of hospitality, accuracy, and excellence.

What You'll Do:

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Greet guests in a polite and professional manner in accordance with Loews Hotels standards.
  • Accurately take and fulfill guest orders while anticipating needs and responding promptly to requests.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, presentation, and timing.
  • Provide excellent customer service while promoting, suggesting, and upselling food, beverage, and retail items.
  • Ensure all food and beverage items meet quality, presentation, and brand standards prior to service.

Beverage Preparation & Food Support

  • Prepare and assist with the presentation of beverages and food items as required.
  • Assist with side work duties and preparation tasks to support daily service flow.

Retail & Merchandising Support

  • Assist in the presentation, merchandising, and sale of retail items.
  • Unpack, stock, rotate, and maintain retail and perishable inventory according to established guidelines.
  • Assume accountability for assigned retail products and ensure displays remain clean and organized.

Cash Handling & Point of Sale Operations

  • Accurately record guest orders and process transactions using the POS system.
  • Collect payment via cash, credit card, or room charge in accordance with cashiering procedures.
  • Complete end-of-shift revenue reporting and cash deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned bank and follow all cash handling policies.

Operational Standards & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in all service, retail, and public areas.
  • Notify leadership promptly of operational issues, guest concerns, or unusual matters.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain positive working relationships with peers and management.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions; remain current on hotel information and updates.
  • Follow all safety regulations, emergency procedures, and Loews Hotels policies and standards.
  • Comply with uniform, grooming, and professional appearance guidelines.

OtherResponsibilities

  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks including walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 20 pounds in a fast-paced retail/barista environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Previous customer service and/or retail experience; barista experience preferred.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale proficiency.
