RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Project Manager in Los Angeles, CA.
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Technical Project Manager to support our team. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and executing tactical and strategic projects within Technology. The candidate will bring a value-driven mindset and focus on solving problems and delivering value as well as influencing a culture of change and continuous improvement.
This pivotal role is focused on overseeing a combination of global engineering, Infrastructure, Engineering, & Operation (IE&O), and Cybersecurity efforts. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in project management methodologies, technical acumen software engineering, and a proven ability to work with cross-cultural, geographically dispersed teams.
Work Activities and Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of software development, IE&O, or Cybersecurity focused projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline; Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and executive leadership; Facilitate clear and consistent communication, ensuring transparency around project status and key decisions
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones; Coordinate efforts between software developers, technical stakeholders, QA engineers, and operations staff to ensure cohesive and aligned project delivery
* Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and blockers early in the project lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration preferred
* PMO, PMP, CEC and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
* 5+ years of demonstrated experience in balanced technical project management across Software Development Life Cycle, Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations, and Cybersecurity with multiple cross-collaboration partners
* 5+ years of effectively driving change across globally distributed teams (with varying cultures and time zones)
* 5+ years in leveraging tools like Lucid, Excel and PowerPoint to prepare for and facilitate discussions with stakeholders and/or senior leadership
* Well-versed in agile and hybrid execution
* Comfortable using Jira for project management
* Fast and responsive, deadline driven
* Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
* Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills
* Influential, focused, and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
* Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment, collaborate, and drive results and accountability across teams
* Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work and deliverables
Nice to Have:
* Financial services industry experience or equivalent culture
* Prior experience in product delivery organization (SaaS solutions), high-paced and results driven
* Experience with Power BI
* Prior experience managing operating budgets and/or project financials
* Comfortable using Confluence for project documentation and team collaboration and communication
* ServiceNow implementation (ITSM/ITOM/CMDB/BCM)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
