Job description

About the job Locum Tenens Physician
Central Health Management, Inc., a Virginia-based Healthcare Recruitment firm, is seeking a board-certified physician for a locum tenens assignment in a post-acute care work environment.
Travel, accommodations and medical malpractice coverage are provided.
In this role, you will be temporarily providing coverage for direct patient care in one or more skilled nursing, assisted living, and/or short-term rehabilitation centers. You will be required to evaluate and admit new patients, round and assess existing patients, develop and amend treatment plans based upon the patient's changes in condition, prescribe medications, order labs and tests, communicate with other medical staff, chart patient progress, certify and recertify patients for extended stays, and develop discharge plans.
To qualify, you will have all of the following:

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Active and unencumbered medical license to practice in the state
  • Active and unencumbered DEA license to prescribe in the state
  • Excellent bedside manner, communication, collaboration and empathy skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a credentialing process
