Job description

U.S. Physiatry is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist for a locum tenens Medical Director role at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. This full-time position, starting August 18, 2025, offers an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation team. The role involves managing a modern, recently remodeled 14-bed rehab unit.

Practice Info

  • Facility: OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital
  • 14-bed inpatient rehab unit
  • Typical patient census: ~12 patients
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support structure: Full-time internal medicine team manages medical needs

Responsibilities

  • Lead a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation team
  • Handle weeknight and weekend rehab-only call
  • Inpatient rehabilitation leadership and rounding
  • Manage post-acute and neuro rehab patients
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Use EPIC EMR for documentation and order entry
  • Manage a consistent patient census efficiently
  • Handle PM&R-related call coverage

Compensation

  • $2,000 per day (8-hour weekday shifts)
  • $300 per hour for overtime
  • $400 per night for call coverage
  • Overtime paid if called in after hours
  • Reimbursement of licensing fees upon completion of 20 shifts

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday rounding (8-hour days)
  • Call responsibilities limited to PM&R-related issues only (weeknights/weekends)

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
  • Active OH license preferred
  • IMLC accepted
  • Inpatient rehab experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of CMS compliance and documentation guidelines
  • Comfortable using EPIC EMR for documentation and order entry
  • Ability to manage a consistent patient census efficiently
  • Proficient in handling PM&R-related call coverage
  • Adaptability in short-term or transitional coverage roles
