About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack Java) to join a high-impact team modernizing contact center technology at scale. This role focuses on building cloud-native applications and middleware solutions that support the migration of enterprise systems from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud, impacting tens of thousands of users.
You'll work across the stack (primarily backend) to design, develop, and integrate systems, while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software.
What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React
  • Develop microservices and middleware integrations to connect enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Verint)
  • Support migration of legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets business and technical requirements
  • Participate in architecture and system design decisions, balancing simplicity, scalability, and flexibility
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across systems
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, and team standards
  • Mentor peers and support knowledge sharing within the team
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-7 years of experience with Java development
  • Experience with:
    • Spring Boot
    • React (or similar frontend frameworks)
    • Microservices architecture
    • Cloud platforms and deployments
    • Messaging systems such as Kafka
  • Experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments (e.g., Cloud Foundry/OCP)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system design, and debugging
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or agent-based systems
  • Background in contact center technology or workforce management systems
  • Experience building enterprise integrations and middleware solutions
  • Ability to evaluate tradeoffs in system design and make informed architectural decisions
What We're Looking For
  • A strong problem-solver who can navigate complex systems and ambiguous requirements
  • A developer who understands both technical implementation and strategic design
  • Someone who asks thoughtful questions and drives solutions forward
  • Experience working with modern engineering practices and tools
Additional Details
  • Backend-heavy role (~65% backend / 35% frontend), with potential for full-stack balance
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale systems supporting 30,000+ users
  • Collaboration across geographically distributed teams (early meetings for AZ candidates)
