Job description


Summary
The Molding Technician 1 will be responsible for performing insert/impressions and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule; part inspections and various other functions to ensure part conformity and quality; verifying paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at start-up of jobs and in process inspections; monitoring and preparing support equipment i.e., circulators, grinders, etc. The Technician will also be responsible for ensuring parts produced are of acceptable quality for production and ensuring all tools and equipment are kept clean and in good repair.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program.
• Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
• Follows all procedures & work instructions.
• Works to maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)
• Completes visual inspection on products through the shift.
• Completed and demonstrated thorough understanding of the Utility Technician tasks listed in the Molding Skills Matrix.
• Performs all the functions and responsibilities of a material handler.
• Performs mold, insert, and impression changes.
• Set up End of Arm tooling for robots.
• Identify unacceptable reject levels.
• Respond to machine alarms and restart all machines in a timely manner.
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds, and tooling
• Responsible for clear and consistent communication between shifts
• Responsible for the continuous operation of production equipment
• Help promote a positive work environment.
• Works to help achieve company goals and objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities
Opportunity to be selected for the role of ISO Internal Auditor, with responsibilities including conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Must demonstrate awareness of ISO standards and actively participate in Integrated Management System (IMS) audits to support compliance and improvement efforts
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Trade school a plus
• Tow motor experience/pallet jack preferred.
• Must be able to work in the US
• General maintenance and tool knowledge required.
• Proficient math skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the injection molding field.
