THE WORK
- Assemble cable harnesses according to detailed planning documents (DWG and PL) and manufacturing procedures
- Perform tasks such as wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and potting
- Inspect and test cable harnesses to ensure they meet quality and functionality standards
- Use specialized tools and equipment, such as crimpers and soldering irons
- Follow strict quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure high-quality products
- Collaborate with quality control personnel to identify and resolve any issues or defects
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations

We are seeking a skilled Cable Harness Assembler Contractor to work on a complex cable harness assembly project. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, and self-inspecting cable harnesses according to detailed planning documents and manufacturing procedures

This job consists of electrical and mechanical assembly. May have to disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test
experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
- IPC 620 Class 3 experience
- 2+ years of experience in cable harness assembly or a related field
- Strong understanding of cable harness assembly processes and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret detailed planning documents and manufacturing procedures
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment, such as crimpers and soldering irons
Desired Skills:
- Previous Cable and Harness Assembly experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with Lockheed Martin or similar companies in the aerospace or defense industry
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's quality control procedures and guidelines
- Certification in cable harness assembly or a related field
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and practices

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
