The Support Equipment Technician serves as the backbone of our flight-hardware production line, ensuring that every piece of test and manufacturing equipment operates at peak performance while the facility environment remains stable and compliant with aerospace standards. In this role you will execute preventive and corrective maintenance on thermal, thermal-vacuum, and vibration test systems, perform calibrations, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, and keep detailed maintenance records that drive equipment reliability. You will also continuously monitor the plant's environmental controls, power quality, safety interlocks, and clean-room conditions, generating status reports that enable the production team to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions. By providing rapid, knowledgeable support during circuit-card, module, and box-level testing, you help maintain test schedules, protect the integrity of satellite components, and contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process. Your proactive stewardship of equipment health and facility readiness directly supports Lockheed Martin's mission to deliver high-performance, flight-qualified hardware on time and to specification.
Basic Qualifications
-Demonstrated hands-on experience (typically 2 + years) maintaining equipment.
-Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
-Solid understanding of basic instrumentation, calibration procedures, and preventive-maintenance practices.
-Ability to follow safety, clean-room, and quality-control protocols while working on a production floor.
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a track record of diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electronic faults in a timely manner.
Desired skills
-A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license - valid FAA certification demonstrating proficiency with aircraft mechanical systems and propulsion.
-Hands-on troubleshooting - ability to quickly diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on complex test equipment.
-Instrumentation & calibration expertise - experience with precision gauges, data acquisition systems, and maintaining calibration records.
-Preventive-maintenance planning - skill in developing and executing maintenance schedules that maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $43,100 - $76,130. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Premium Pay Statement
