Description:
You will be the CNC Electrical Technician for the Electrical Controls Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced automation equipment across production, research, and development environments.
What You Will Be Doing
As the CNC Electrical Technician you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and maintaining a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems that drive our CNC, PLC, robotics, and other automated machinery.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Install, modify, and repair CNC, PLC, and robotic control hardware and associated wiring according to schematics, service manuals, and performance specifications.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and detailed troubleshooting using calibrated laser, ball‑bar, and other precision test equipment.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues with laptops, test instruments, and diagnostic software.

  • Mentor and train junior CNC Electrical Technicians (level B) as needed, and step in to perform their duties when required.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and promptly report any unusual conditions to the lead or supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:
- Proficient with electrical/electronic components of computer numeric control (CNC) equipment, programmable logic control (PLC) equipment and demonstrate a firm understanding and knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic operations of the machines.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the National Electrical Code as it pertains to machine tools and associated equipment
- Three (3) years working with CNC and PLC machines and components.
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
