Job description


Manage a team of business development professionals responsible for strategy and business growth for the Missile Defense & Space Surveillance (MD&SS) subsegment of Radar Sensor Systems (RSS). The team will lead the development of integrated business and capture strategies to identify and pursue MMDS opportunities to meet growth expectations under several customer organizations primarily within Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Golden Dome America Program Office, and International allied partners. The successful candidate will mentor and develop employees on all aspects of the win plan, customer relationship building and capture development.
Support and pursue strategies resulting in advancement of LM's Scalable, Software-Defined, Supportable S-Band Radar (S4R) Product Family. Work with the program management team and technical team to advance LM's S4R capabilities, development of advanced and next generation capabilities, identification and qualification of international opportunities and acceleration of investment strategies. Build a pipeline of new business opportunities, to include qualification, pursuit and re-assessment on an ongoing basis. Champion MMDS strategic campaigns and imperatives to enable growth strategies required to meet LRP commitments.
Build and maintain trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers and key opinion leaders - including but not limited to the MDA and targeted International allied partners. Work with the program management and finance team to develop the orders LRP/OpPlan. Manage assigned new business funds, including working with Engineering to establish and achieve IRAD objectives. Interface regularly across the LM enterprise to achieve business goals and promote a "One LM" approach - including but not limited to other RMS Lines of Business, other LM Business Areas, LM Government Affairs (LMGA), and the Corporate Engineering and Technology Office (CETO).
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, capture management, and/or program management.
• Extensive understanding of Lockheed Martin win plan, capture process, and business development practices. Experience leading competitive pursuits.
• Experience supporting customer contact tracking, decision mapping, competitive intelligence and customer assessments.
• Direct experience with MDA and/or Golden Dome America DRPM.
• Basic understanding of the Radar Sensor System portfolio and specifically MMDS products.
• Demonstrated experience organizing and presenting data to senior/executive management and advanced communications skills in Power Point, written media, and verbal presentations.
• Experience in leveraging stakeholder functional organizations: Program Management, Engineering, Sustainment Operations, Contracts, Business Ventures/Offset, ITC and Legal
• Experience with FMS and Direct Commercial Sale offerings
Desired skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or business
• Prior experience interfacing with and briefing senior industry and customer executives
• Demonstrated experience with business transformation efforts, and engagement/understanding of LM's Digital Transformation initiative
• Prior leadership experience

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
